The AFTER THIS song and video have released!
Last week I posted in this blog, asking if any of you might have any photos or videos you’d be willing to submit for our music video for AFTER THIS – a song Spencer Capier and I wrote to express both the ache and the hope so many of us are feeling in this strange season.
I wanted to give you an update: The response was tremendous. We received so many moving and wonderful images. Thank You.
The video is out! I hope you love it.
Check out The Story of the Video to find out how we pulled off making a video while following social distancing guidelines, and to see the list of image contributors. (We were only able to fit in a portion of the submissions, but we were moved by every single one.)
Also, might I suggest you add the song to your music library? It releases to digital platforms on May 27, but you can pre-save it on your favourite platform now, or, better yet, purchase it for download right now exclusively from the carolynarends.com store.
We’ll be donating a percentage of the proceeds to Camp Barnabas (Barnabas Family Ministries) – a place that could really use some support while they’ve been forced to shut down … and a place we can’t wait to get back to after this.
Anyway … however you are experiencing this Coranavirus crisis, I hope this project offers a bit of hope and points to something Frederick Buechner once said: The resurrection means the worst thing is never the last thing.
There’s always something after this.
