Got Questions?  Me Too!

I tussle with some tough ones in THEOLOGY IN AISLE SEVEN.

It represents four years of "Wrestling With Angels" columns ... and a lifetime of grappling with all manner of everyday mysteries.

"So that’s what you have here—an overview of the Christian life in 25 snapshots. In fact, that number of chapters invites one to read a chapter a night for a month as a devotional exercise. No there are not exactly 30 chapters, but if you’re like me, I invariable miss a night or two. So this set up will give you a little grace right off the bat.

And that’s appropriate for a book like this, with graceful reflections on the life of grace." - Mark Galli

Here's the official description...

Most people know Carolyn Arends as a musician and songwriter. But as Billboard Magazine put it, Carolyn is “one of the most affecting communicators in any genre.”

In Theology in Aisle Seven Carolyn writes about a full-orbed Christian spirituality.  She reflects on everything from the sobering judgment of God to what she calls “the serious business” of laughter.  No matter the topic she addresses, she offers a refreshing, creative glimpse into the Christian life.  All in 25 snapshot chapters—perfect for about a month of thoughtful devotional reading.

Congrats on the E-book!

Hey! The site's looking spiffy! Kudos to your faithful and talented web designer! Love the new streamlined shop, too. Many congrats on the new book, as well. I bought a copy (even though my Kindle's been buried under who-knows-what in a basket for almost a year) and am looking forward to revisiting the columns I enjoyed so much the first time in CT Magazine. Thanks for keeping on giving us the good stuff even in the midst of your crazy, graduate studies life! All my best, Justine from WA

Thank you Ma'am!

Hey Justine from WA - Thanks for the kudo;, Rose-the-webmaster is indeed both faithful and talented!  And thanks for picking up the Kindle book, although I had you pegged as a Nook girl given your BN past.  How goes the Latin?

Thanks for saying "hey",

CA

ps  - I sure would love to see one of them articulate Justine reviews of the book over at Kindle ... just sayin' ...

Latina est optima!

Just submitted a review at Amazon -- went over the recommended 300 words, but what can you do? Truly an edifying collection -- and I just read the new WWA column yesterday in CT Magazine. Shine on, you crazy diamond . . .

Got Kindle for Mother's Day last year. Hard to get used to. I like to write in books -- and the note function is unwieldy. Jason was hoping that a Kindle would keep me from lugging 2 or 3 large books on every airplane trip we take. No such luck for him. Please don't tell Len Riggio that we went for Kindle. :-)

Latina est optima, et latinam superabimus! Teaching Sadie Greek letters, too -- just in case she ever desires a Masters in Theology.

See ya at Barnabas! Trying to get my Chicago-area friends there, but they are playing coy. We shall see!

Thanks ...

Love the review, love the Latin, love you.  See you soon!
